About CBI

The Clean-Up Badagry Initiative (CBI) is a grassroots, community-based environmental organization established in December 2024 with the mission of promoting a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Badagry. CBI focuses on environmental sanitation, climate action awareness, waste management education, and youth-led community development.

Since its formation, the Initiative has worked directly with local communities, schools, and key stakeholders to address environmental challenges through clean-up exercises, tree-planting programs, environmental advocacy, and capacity-building activities. CBI’s overarching goal is to empower residents, especially young people, to take ownership of their environment and drive sustainable change within their communities.
